What to Pack for a Beach Vacation: The Perfect Maxi Dress
Hello from Tybee Island! Honestly, the beach house is my happy place. I never tire of long walks with the sand underneath my toes, listening to the waves crashing to the shore and watching the cargo ships round the bend and head into Savannah River. Surfers congregate, waiting for the extra wake the cargo ships give, and then ride the wave to shore. There’s also a bird sanctuary along the north coast, which is fascinating to watch! And I listen to audiobooks that fill my time and catch up if I’m behind on my reading. If you haven’t subscribed to the Weekly Newsletter, Kelly and I will share what we’re reading, watching, and shopping for every week! Join us! I recently have shared my beach reads, including Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez, a Food Network winner (Cupcake Wars) and New York Times bestselling author.
Beach trips also include a shopping expedition in Savannah, one of my favorite cities in the world. I always stop by the retail stores Anthropologie, Banana Republic, and H&M. There are lovely local boutiques, too. But my favorite store is The Paris Market, which has a smattering of books, jewelry, home decor, and the cutest coffee shop with delicious pastries. And I must admit I love to stand in line for ice cream from Leopold’s, which has been in business for over one hundred years! I’m telling you, if the line is long, it’s worth the wait!
