Natalie Portman L’Officiel Paris Spring 2024
OK, so we admit that L’Officiel doesn’t take our fancy on the regular, here at theFashionSpot. After all, the world of print fashion media is a saturated market – and growing steadily. So many magazines, so little time (and we aren’t complaining). L’Officiel Paris attempts to generate themselves some buzz with the unveiling of it’s Spring 2024 cover star, and have ultimately succeeded. Give it up for Natalie Portman, who poses for famed German photographer Ellen von Unwerth for the occasion, captured on location throughout the Paris apartment of Vincent Darré. Complete with styling from Giulio Martinelli, the A-list Hollywood talent wears a black lace dress from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Spring 2024 collection for Christian Dior (to which Portman is brand ambassador) in the fun and flirty cover image.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Are these some unpublished images saved in her folder for years?” asked MDNA.
“I love Natalie Portman but this is a… NO!” fauxfashion exclaimed.
Ihhbl commented: “Despite all these colors, it looks lifeless!”
“Is this a joke? Photography, styling, everything. If I were Nathalie Portman, I would leave the set after the first picture,” shrieked forum member ah ah.
“Oh my god, the photography is so bad it hurts the eyes. Awful,” complained philophile.
Vogue28 wasn’t buying it either, ranting: “Always completely loathed Ellen von Unwerth’s style of photography, so I’m programmed to instantly dislike anything Unwerth-related.”
“I don’t hate it but I wish Ellen von Unwerth produced better stuff more consistently. It’s like she’s on autopilot nowadays,” chimed in thenewclassic.
