Happy Memorial Day, American readers! We began to commemorate this day in a few comments in yesterday’s post.
I hope everyone will join me in thanking the soldiers and their families who made huge sacrifices to protect America’s freedoms throughout our country’s history.
Though we enjoy this weekend to kick off the summer season, and embrace family, also remember those we honor on this day.
Memorial Day kicks off a season of several patriotic celebrations….and you can dress for each occasion.
I have see the red, white, and blue at most of our favorite retailers, but may favorite touch of Americana has been found at Chico’s and Talbot’s.

Mr. B works for one of the largest companies in the world founded by veterans for the military.
They like to wear red on Fridays….RED stands for Remember Everyone Deployed.
My grandson loved decorating the front yard with flags and I featured him running with this one on my IG PAGE.
He reminded me of this quote: “OUR FLAG DOES NOT FLY BECAUSE THE WIND MOVES IT. IT FLIES FROM THE LAST BREATH OF EACH SOLDIER WHO DIED DEFENDING IT.”
MEMORIAL DAY IS ONE YEAR
I also must say today…HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY to my youngest son and his bride.
They now prepare to be parents of a son in the fall and I am so proud of both of them…she is the perfect addition to our family.
I hope everyone’s day is full of joy…this is short because it is a holiday weekend…but I return tomorrow.
