Summer is in full swing! It’s the perfect time to edit your closet of anything you don’t love and/or didn’t wear last Summer. I highly recommend making sure your wardrobe has the following elements, to ensure ease of creating endless chic outfits all Summer long!
Day to night dress :: The dress you can reach for when you don’t know what to wear, pair different shoes with, accessorize multiple ways and pack when you travel.
Tortoise sunnies :: Always classic. Oversized is extra chic. These, these and these are my three favorite pairs!
Neutral slides :: A comfy flat that can take you from day to night and pair with everything.
White tee :: Nothing beats a great-fitting crisp white tee for Summer! I usually replace my white tees every 1-2 years, so be sure to go through your wardrobe and dispose of any with stains and yellowing.
Neutral crossbody :: Think an everyday, go-with-everything bag that can take you from day to night. This + a woven clutch {see below} are the only bags you need when traveling.
Neutral raffia heels or wedges :: The only dressier shoe you need for Summer and travel.
Raffia bracelets :: An easy to wear summer accessory for all ages. These are my favorites and come in several colors. They look fab alone or layered with other gold bracelets. Code FREESHIP.
Raffia belt :: A must-own summer accessory. I wear mine with dresses and skirts all summer long. My trick is to remove the sash that comes with a lot of dresses and to replace with this belt. It flatters the waist and instantly elevates the outfit. Code FREESHIP.
Stripe tee :: A classic Summer staple. This one {code LAUREN15} and this one are two of my new favs. Pair with denim or white all summer long. Truly a piece to wear year after year.
Denim shorts :: Just like a finding perfect fitting pair of jeans, a figure-fitting pair of denim shorts is a summer must. Less is more…I recommend finding a pair you love and investing in them. I wear this pair allll the time, and love that they double as a chic swim coverup.
Raffia + white headband :: If you are a headband-lover like me, a raffia + a white headband go with everything. Especially helpful for beach/pool hair and for “dressing up” dirty hair. I have also been using both of these on ponytails…makes a pony extra cute!
White shorts :: A summer staple. This pair is my absolute favorite this season.
Fun woven handbag/clutch :: The evening bag for summer. Pick one you love and remember to pack it for travel. This one is cute and super affordable!
Elevated white sneakers :: I wear my white sneaks year-round but especially during summer. I love these with jeans, skirts, dresses and shorts. A must for travel or bopping around town!
