BREAK OUT THE SUMMER DRESSES // FEATURING JULIA AMORY
Hello, ladies! I hope you have had a fantastic week! Mine has been a whirlwind! I left last Sunday for Scottsdale, Arizona, on a retreat with the management team I work with, Estate Five. There were about thirty influencers (of course, I was the grandmother of the group!), and it was the best trip and experience! The Estate Five team wined and dined us, brought in great speakers, scheduled a fantastic yoga class, and showered us with the sweetest swag and gifts. We stayed at the Andaz Scottsdale, and if you ever get a chance, I highly recommend this resort. It’s very peaceful, and you will have the most fantastic view of Camelback Mountain. I’ve been to Scottsdale once before and stayed at The Camelback Inn, but I never knew about the praying Monk on the camel’s head. (picture below). It’s so beautiful!
So, what do you wear on a trip when it’s hot and you are with many younger and hipper influencers? I wore these two dresses from a brand that I recently learned about, called Julia Amory. Julia Amory is a lifestyle brand celebrating classic silhouettes and colorful patterns. The pieces are playful and elegant but with a bit of boho flair. That is why I was attracted to them. They are fun and summery without looking too preppy. They have a flagship store in Palm Beach, and I am so sad that I didn’t know about them when I was in Palm Beach in March. The store and website have pieces for the entire family and the home.
I loved these two dress silhouettes. The one I’m wearing above is the Casablanca dress. It comes in this color, too (here), but I love the white with brown. It’s so chic and summery! The dress style (called the Ja Dress) below (with Heather) is unfortunately sold out in brown; however, it comes in several other colors below. This dress is so chic, and I had so many compliments from the younger girls when I wore it to dinner.
I also ordered this “husband shirt” and matching pareo to take on a trip to Florida in a few weeks. If you need a sophisticated way to cover up a bathing suit, this is it (on sale). I have a few more things in my cart now, but I am having difficulty deciding. I want to get the Ja Dress in the other colors for sure! Check out my favorites below (many on sale).

I have been in Los Angeles since Wednesday evening. I stayed with my daughter the first night (I got to sleep with my oldest granddaughter, almost three), then moved over to stay with my best friend, Janet. We are headed to a fun event today at Madison Maison Shoes (use CODE: CATHY15 for a discount), where we are meeting up with some fun influencers (our age). I will be filling you all in on my Instagram stories. I’m so excited to meet these ladies! I am heading home tomorrow and will, hopefully, get back on track!
