Opening to the public on May 10, the Costume Institute’s multisensory “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibition takes nature as its main theme, focusing on three elements: earth, air, and water. Curated by Andrew Bolton, the exhibit includes objects that date from the 17th century to today. Some of them you might recognize from following the fashion shows on Vogue Runway. We’ve pulled those looks here to give you an idea of just some of the treasures that will be on view at The Met through September 2, 2024.
