Weekend Reading: 1.27.24 – A Well Styled Life®

I’m glad I finally finished this hat I’ve been knitting because it’s colder here in Vancouver than I’m used to. I used this Purl Soho pattern and their Cashmere Merino Bloom yarn.

I’m also grateful that someone left this ratty umbrella in our apartment closet because it’s sort of damp here, and I left all of mine in California. It hasn’t been cold enough to break out my sleeping bag coat, but I am looking forward to it. My daughter tells me I need a pair of Blundstones for the weather here, and I tend to agree. Sneakers are no good in puddles. My style recipe is certainly changing to fit this environment.

Ironically, I’ve come to the end of both moisturizers I swear by, and this cold air is really drying my face out. I plan to hit Sephora today to replace my face oil and try out a new moisturizer I’ve had my eye on. I’m also hoping to hit a yarn store because this is perfect knitting weather.

FASHION ON MY RADAR

  • I’m not one to wear affirmations on my clothing, but this tote bag is resonating with me right now.
  • I left these Hoka’s here in Vancouver and am so happy to be able to wear them for long walks again. They’re so comfy.
Last week, I tried on this PURE JILL INTARSIA RELAXED SWEATER (size S) and these BOYFRIEND JEANS IN GALAXY WASH (size 6P) / JENNY BIRD PUFFY FAYE KNOCKER EARRINGS
I also tried on this EASY CARE POLKA DOT BLOUSE (size petite M) with these HIGH-RISE STRAIGHT LEG JEANS (size 8 ) and CONTRAST TRIM TEXTURED SWEATER (size petite S )
  • Madewell just dropped a bunch of new arrivals that look fun for the season.
  • Eileen Fisher’s end-of-season sale is still on and well worth a look because their pieces are pricey and timeless.
