Most Comfortable White Sneakers for Women Over 60

White sneakers are all the rage right now and have been the last few years. You can wear them with everything…dresses, skirts, shorts, etc. But, when you’re in your sixties like I am, you can’t sacrifice comfort just to look good anymore. So when I went to see what my options were, all of the articles I found were geared towards trendy white sneakers like Adidas Sambas, Stan Smiths, and others. I know I can’t be the only older woman out there looking for comfortable white sneakers from brands that won’t make my feet want to cry. I decided to go down the rabbit hole for all of us and found what I think are the most comfortable white sneakers for women over 60.

Keep in mind…many of these sneakers look the same, but I know that everyone has different price points they shop and brand preferences. Just like with most shoes, it may take some trial and error, so don’t be afraid to order a couple of pairs or different sizes and return what doesn’t work.

Casual and Comfortable White Sneakers for Women

Personal Favorite: Paul Green Sneakers

I bought my first pair of Paul Green sneakers at Nordstrom many years ago and have been a loyal fan ever since. Yes, these are an investment, but mine have held up beautifully. I wear them so often that my cost per wear is pennies (read more about that here), and my feet deserve to be comfortable. The platform soles give me a little height boost, and my feet feel like they are walking on a cloud.

My collection of white Paul Green sneakers seems to keep growing. This spring, I added a third pair, which are these totally classic-looking Carly low-top style. They’re my go-to shoes these days, and I love that they’re made with a soft terry lining, which adds to their appeal and comfort.

Ecco Soft 7

These leather sneakers from Ecco were my gateway shoe into the world of sneakers. I own them in black, and they’re just as comfortable now as they were when I wore them all over Japan in 2018. They’re super comfy with a removable innersole which gives you space to add your orthotic or just to adjust the width. In fact, I wore the black ones out and replaced them last summer.

Vionic Winny

This white oxford sneaker from Vionic is a great everyday sneaker that you can throw on with anything this summer. It’s one of the best options for those of you suffering from plantar fasciitis. They have a deep heel cup and contoured arch support (you can find more options for my plantar fasciitis readers in this post). They’re available in sizes 5-13, including half and wide sizes.

AllBirds Canvas Pipers

I love my pair of Allbirds Tree Runners, so I need to give their canvas sneaker a try. They’re available in lots of colors and options, including wide width. Their lightweight top is made from 100% organic cotton, which is super durable, plus they’re machine washable. This is a big perk since white sneakers can show dirt quicker than others.

Cole Haan Womens Grand Crosscourt

This leather Grand Crosscourt sneaker is a highly recommended pair by other bloggers that I wanted to include. Cole Haan is known for their comfortable shoes for both women and men so I have no doubt these would be the same. I like that with the leather, you can easily wipe them down to look white again. I own a version of these, and I wear mine with pants.

You can normally find these on sale at Amazon, DSW, or even Nordstrom Rack!

Dr. Scholl’s Shoes Women’s Time Off Sneaker

These sneakers have been quickly gaining clout as “the sneaker” to take with you to Europe! Dr. Scholl knows what they’re doing when it comes to making comfortable shoes and inserts, and the reviews on these are fantastic. I did read that they aren’t as breathable as some other sneakers, so consider that if you want a pair of shoes to wear on very hot days.

Hoka Clifton 9

I must have tried on a zillion pairs of Hokas before the sales gal finally brought me out the Clifton 9 in wide. I went up 2 sizes as well, so I have plenty of room for my cushiony socks. I grabbed them in black and white for myself, but the all-white option will go with absolutely anything. I’ve seen a lot of women wearing tennis skirts and golf dresses off the course and the courts, and these would be a great shoe to pair with those.

Born Mira Platform Sneaker

If you’ve owned a pair of Born shoes before, you know how comfy they are. The Born Mira Platform Sneaker is the brand’s best white sneaker option. They give you an extra lift with their platform soles while keeping your feet happy all day long.

Naturalizer Morrison Sneaker

Naturalizer is a brand known for creating stylish footwear that doesn’t compromise on comfort. With their cushioned insole and lightweight design, these Morrison sneakers will ensure your feet will feel great even after a long day out. I thought the contrasting tan trim on this pair was a nice touch, but you can also grab them in a white and silver combination.

Rothy’s The Lace Up Sneaker

I’m a big fan of Rothy’s loafers, and I recently saw that they’re making a sneaker! Like the loafers, they are made from recycled plastic bottles, so they will ease slightly but not stretch out. I really like that they don’t require a breaking-in period, and they’re machine-washable. They have a padded ankle for added comfort, paired with a supportive, contoured footbed.
