Happy Friday, ladies! We are headed straight into July on Monday, with the Fourth of July not far behind. Today, we’re celebrating all things red, white, and blue and dishing up a Chicago Dog that’s perfect for an outdoor BBQ!

Growing up, the Fourth of July marked halfway through summer. The phrase “knee high by the 4th of July” meant fresh corn on the cob wasn’t far away. And the 4th always meant the retailers would begin to mark down their summer inventory. These days, there’s a sale every week, so no need to wait with bated breath if an item you loved was finally on sale! Although some items still sell out lickety-split. But there’s a big difference between sales in 1974 and 2024.
