7 Stylish Summer Accessories That Will Instantly Elevate Your Outfits

Summer Accessories

Do you ever feel like your summer wardrobe just needs a little something extra to feel more refreshed and exciting? One of the easiest and most affordable ways to breathe new life into your wardrobe each season is with accessories! A new bag, some chic shoes, or even something as simple as a new pair of sunglasses can… 1) add excitement when getting dressed and 2) instantly elevate your outfit! I’m sharing seven stylish summer accessories that will instantly take your summer style up a notch…
Huge thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

#1 | Sam Edelman Espadrille Loafers

If you are like me, you are constantly on the hunt for stylish and comfortable FLATS – that don’t look too masculine. Well, I’m excited to share these espadrille loafers by Sam Edelman. I took these on a recent trip to Vietnam and China and they were very chic and comfy for short-ish distances. (I did make the mistake of not breaking them in beforehand, so please do NOT do that.) Despite my rookie travel mistake, I will definitely be wearing these all summer. (Just not for miles and miles sightseeing until they are broken in ;).) The neutral color makes these incredibly versatile and can be worn with everything from jeans to dresses.

They have a latticed design so your feet stay cool, and you get plenty of ventilation, which can be hard to find with closed-toe shoes. I love the woven cap toe detail and jute trim that make the shoes feel so summery and fresh. They also have the brand logo in subtle crystal hardware that adds just a touch of glam without being over the top. They run true to size and come in multiple colors, but are selling out SO fast so if you see your size, grab them before they are gone!

#2 | Bottega Veneta Chain Cassette Bag

This bag may look familiar and that’s because I’ve had it since 2021 and carry it all. the. time. This is my go-to spring/summer handbag every year and I love how it adds a modern, fresh element to every outfit. It has the brand’s iconic woven design that is still so on-trend and a hefty gold chain. (If you don’t want the heaviness of the chain, they do have styles with a regular leather strap here.) The Cassette bag has a magnetic closure, interior zip pocket, and it’s the perfect size for all of your essentials. I love the bright white color, but it comes in 10+ colors.
You can see in the photos above that there’s a little bit of wear and tear, but even after taking it on a cross-country road trip, to Spain for a year, and on countless other trips…it’s held up really well! It’s pricey so we linked some other options below that would also be a great addition to your summer accessory collection.

#3 | Ivory Sunglasses

A pair of sunglasses is such a simple, and often affordable, way to change it up. On the left, I’m wearing a pair of ivory Chloe square sunglasses that are so modern and chic. They’re a little oversized, which I love, but know is not for everyone. On the right, I’m wearing a pair of ivory Le Specs aviator sunglasses. I love both pairs of sunglasses but I find myself grabbing the Le Specs more because they fit my face a little better and I really love the updated aviator shape that’s a little sportier. Plus, they’re a fraction of the price of the Chloe sunglasses. Either would be a lovely option, it just depends on your style preferences and budget.

#4 | Sam Edelman Platforms

Another great and simple way to change up your summer style is with a standout pair of shoes. I’m wearing a pair of platform sandals by Sam Edelman with the prettiest rickrack trim detailing. These shoes are major! I love them so much! Notice the gorge details like the raffia platform, woven material, and delicate ankle strap. The shoes have a 5.5” heel and ~2” platform so it’s more like walking in 3” heels. The platform makes them more manageable, and they are pretty comfortable *for heels*. These shoes are tall, fashion forward, and not for the faint of heart…but they’re SO cute! I’ve worn them with jeans, skirts, shorts, and dresses. They’re super versatile and would make a great addition to your summer shoe rotation. They run true to size. If you are petite, and love to add height, these are a MUST!!! They keep going in and out of stock so we linked some similar options for you below as well.

#5 | Sam Edelman Pumps

If you liked the last pair of shoes but are looking for something a little more classic and elegant, these Sam Edelman pumps are a wonderful option. I have them in the “Light Neutral” color and love the raffia look for summer. If you work in an office and want to change it up at work, these would look so chic with a nice neutral suit or any trousers, skirts, and dresses. They have a 4” heel but the brand is known for their comfortable shoes and these heels are no exception. I also have them in classic black leather and beige (linked below). They run true to size and come in a few colors.

#6 | Chloe Sneakers

These sneakers have been a favorite of mine for years and I’ll be wearing them again this year too! I’ve worn them with everything from denim shorts to dresses, taken them on multiple family trips, and I’ve even hiked in them! I love the whipstitch detail and neutral colorway of browns, beiges, and white tones because they seamlessly work with pretty much everything in my closet. They have about a 2” platform that adds just the right amount of height that give them an elevated (pun intended) look. They’re extremely comfortable but not the most breathable option so that’s something to consider if your feet typically get hot. They run true to size and come in multiple colorways. I also linked a pair of budget-friendly look-a-like sneakers at a lower price point below.

#7 | Monica Vinader Necklace

Monica Vinader has been one of my favorite jewelry brands for years. All of their pieces are 18k gold vermeil covered, which is super high-quality and helps them looking beautiful for years to come.
I recently grabbed this gorgeous gold choker necklace and had to share it. I love the teardrop chain links and that it adds just the right amount of impact to an outfit. It hits right at my collarbones, which is very flattering. It’s such a beautiful necklace and would make a lovely gift (for yourself;)). It’s pricey, so I linked a few more necklaces below but you can shop a huge selection here.
